Florence Walking Tours: Day Excursions

Excursion to Pisa and the Town of Lucca

Description

If you are looking for a day trip that combines culture, nature, and fun, this is the perfect option for you. You will visit two of the most beautiful and historic towns in Tuscany: Pisa and Lucca, with the help of a private driver and a local guide.
Your adventure begins when your driver picks you up from your accommodation and takes you to Pisa, where you will meet your guide. Together, you will explore the amazing Piazza dei Miracoli, the heart of the city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you will marvel at the magnificent Cathedral complex, composed of the Duomo, the Baptistery, and the famous Leaning Tower. You will have the opportunity to skip the line and climb to the top of the tower, where you will enjoy a panoramic view of Pisa and its surroundings.
After visiting Pisa, you will head to Lucca, a charming town surrounded by Renaissance walls and filled with medieval churches, palaces, and squares. Your guide will show you the highlights of the historic center, such as the San Michele in Foro church, the Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, and the Torre Guinigi. You will also have some free time to have lunch at a typical trattoria, where you can taste the local cuisine and wine. You can also rent a bike and ride along the walls, or just relax and soak up the atmosphere of this lovely town.
At the end of the day, your driver will take you back to Florence, where you will arrive in the evening with unforgettable memories of your Tuscan adventure.
