Day Trip to Capri with Boat Tour and Anacapri
Experience the Enchantment of Capri and Anacapri
A Day Trip to Capri, including a Boat Tour and a visit to Anacapri, with Your Own Italy, is the quintessence of a Mediterranean escape. This personalized journey transports you to the legendary island of Capri, known for its rugged landscape, upscale hotels, and shopping, from designer fashion to limoncello. By combining a scenic boat tour around the island with explorations of Capri town and Anacapri, this experience offers a comprehensive view of the island’s natural beauty, rich history, and vibrant culture.
Morning: Setting Sail Around Capri
Your adventure begins with a boat tour departing from the Marina Grande, Capri’s bustling port. As you circumnavigate the island, embrace the stunning views of the dramatic cliffs and the famous Faraglioni rock formations. The tour provides opportunities to explore hidden grottoes, including the mesmerizing Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra), where the sea glows an ethereal blue. Swimming in the crystal-clear waters of Capri is an unforgettable experience, offering a refreshing break amidst your explorations.
Discovering Anacapri
After returning to land, the journey continues to Anacapri, the quieter and more elevated town on the island. Here, you can take the chairlift to Monte Solaro for panoramic views of the island and the Bay of Naples. The Villa San Michele, built by the Swedish physician Axel Munthe, is a must-visit for its beautiful gardens and impressive collection of art and artifacts. Anacapri’s laid-back charm provides a stark contrast to the glamour of Capri town, offering insights into the island’s more tranquil side.
Exploring Capri Town
Capri town, with its chic boutiques, elegant squares, and vibrant dining scene, beckons as the day progresses. Stroll through the Piazzetta, the heart of social life in Capri, and wander the medieval alleyways that lead to the Gardens of Augustus. These terraced gardens offer spectacular views of the Faraglioni and the Marina Piccola. As the evening sets in, enjoy a leisurely dinner at one of Capri’s renowned restaurants, savoring local specialties and fresh seafood.
